Homebuyer Education
Homebuyer Education classes can help you become an informed consumer to ensure that homeownership is right for you and your family. Special modules ìManaging Your Moneyî and ìUnderstanding Creditî are included and focus on financial literacy. The class fee is $300, but may be discounted based on the specific program you qualify for. Your housing counselor can inform you of your specific charge before you register.
There are several ways to take Homebuyer Education:
1. Classroom training ñ Certified instructors lead you in an interactive 8-hour session offered 1x a quarter in our classroom. The in-person fee is $300, but may be discounted based on the specific program you qualify for. Your housing counselor can inform you of your specific charge before you register. 2. Online training ñ NHS Phoenix is pleased to announce that homebuyer training can now be completed online through eHome America ñ in English or Spanish ñ at your own pace, where you can access it anywhere and anytime and start & stop at your convenience. The fee is $300, but you may be eligible for a discount coupon. You will need to check your eligibility with your counselor before you register for online Homebuyer Education.
3. In-office training - Donít have a computer, but want to take HBE online? No problem. We have a computer and space available for you to come in and go through the course over several days. Check with your housing counselor to schedule.
